Bob

Bob is here.

Our first lamb born on the farm.  And he's a cutie.  :)

Meeting the herd for the first time - Bob is just over a day old. :)

Alice the donkey was quite interested in him. She tried stomping on him a few times - she's quite protective of her herd. Which is good... except when she's trying to squish the baby. ;)

His mommy Edna was pretty good at keeping him away from Alice.

It was fun watching him jump and run for the first time. :)

Can't wait for lamb #2 to arrive! :D

In other news...

It's cooler today.  Still above seasonal, though.

I think he's cute.

A Hazy Assignment

So, the assignment for my photography course this week was hazy/backlit photos.

Of course, the week that #1, we had the stomach flu and #2 it was cloudy and rainy/snowy/sleetish.

But, there were two days that had a bit of sun peek through those clouds... just long enough for me to drag a kid out and try to finish my assignment.

These were my favourites.   :)

Week 2 Haze Re Edit (1 of 3)

I  used a gold reflector for my shots.  You can see the tinge of gold in Ethan's hair.  This shot was a class favourite.  :)

Next, tried to catch a little sunflare.

Week 2 Haze (2 of 4)

A couple days later, we had some bonus unexpected sunshine.  Happened to be the day that I was feeling extremely under the weather.

But, I want to get the most out of this class, so I dragged my sick butt outside to try some more.

Rebekah was a willing model in a pretty dress.  ;)

Week 2 Haze Re Edit (2 of 3)

I really liked how the tree curls around her.

and
 then, she {snapped}

And finally...

Week 2 Haze Re Edit (3 of 3)

The SOOC shot had a lot more haze... and my classmates/teacher think I should add some more back in.  I just might try that... but I still like how this one turned out.  :)

And now, back to waiting for this week's assignment!  :)

Shoot. Edit. Submit.

So, I've found a cool new blog to follow.  ;)  And there's a weekly link up.  I love that.  :D

I had a different picture in mind to link up...  but then I realized I took it yesterday, so it won't qualify till next week.

So, I'll link up this one instead.

Boy in tree

A boy in a tree.  He would live in one, I think.  ;)
