Today was my family reunion.  Just about two hours drive away from home.

We are very glad we were gone.  A f2/f3 tornado has devastated our little town.  Where we get our groceries, bank, have family and friends, and where Jeff works.

Well, used to work.

The salt mine has been heavily damaged, and all the employees are out of work until further notice.

We haven't heard any confirmation, but there was possibly some fatal injuries at the mine.  Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have been affected by this storm.

I did not take these pics, but this link was shared on FB:

We are very grateful that our house and everything here is fine.  We have no damage at all.

  1. Aerial photos really show the devastation. Starting at #35:

  2. OH NO!!! Thanks to God that your family is okay. Sending lots of prayers.

  3. It's crazy....Goderich hasn't seen a storm like this for 15 years. So glad your home is ok. God has you all, and His plan is perfect, even if we don't see what it is.

  4. So thankful that your family is okay - sending prayers your way.

  5. Good grief! I had no idea! You mean your husband is out of work right now? Indefinitely? Oh wow...going to pop over to view this pics now. Sorry Adeena! :-(

  6. Oh wow... just saw the pics on FB. SO SAD. :-( And it looks like a beautiful little town.

I read and appreciate every comment I get! I will try to either respond by email, or by visiting your blog.
