For Real...

Well, instead of doing a flashback, today I thought I'd do something a little different.

Now, if your kitchen is always perfect, and never, ever gets messy, please don't look.

If you can't imagine leaving a dirty dish for an hour... then leave now, and come back tomorrow.  ;)

If your children are perfect, and always put their dishes in the dishwasher, and their eggshells in the garbage.... please tell me how you do it.

And now.

For the rest of you, who are not perfect..

I give you...

My kitchen.

I didn't do the dishes or any kitchen maintenance for one day.

Only one.

How does it possibly get so dirty in just one day??

Are there dirty kitchen gnomes?

Even the table had the disease.

Before you have a heart attack, and because you're recoiling in horror at the filth... it looked like this a few hours later.

Much better.  (But don't look on top of the microwave.  And yes, that is a headless dude, waiting to be glued.)

Me likey.

Now you can come over sometime!  :D

So there's my real life.

Does anyone else ever rebel for a day?  Please tell me I'm not the only one...

And now, back to looking at prettier pictures...  ;)

  1. Me likey the clean one; me understandy the messy one. It takes SECONDS to destroy a perfect kitchen. Milliseconds, even.

  2. My kitchen does the same thing. Stupid dirty kitchen gnomes....

  3. Me? I've completely given up on mine.

  4. All I have to do is leave Tyler in the house alone for a day (ie his Fridays off) and my kitchen dissolves into a cesspool of messiness.

But it's okay. He focuses on the important things, like feeding Deklan, and playing with him, and making him feel loved. :)

So it's aight.... but I'm not tackling the mess right now. Too tired. :P

  5. My kitchen looks like that all the time. lol!!

  6. That. Is. Awesome.

Rotten kitchens and their identity crisis's!

  7. You are not alone! My kitchen looks like that after just one day of me not cleaning up after everybody. And yes if someone could tell me how to get the kids to put stuff in the garbage can it would be great! LOL

  8. Love it! And there are moments where I look at my kitchen and think "Ohhh my goodness, what would CAS say if they walked in my door" (not that I have any reason to fear CAS, other than to maybe call them up and ask if they take drop-offs :D
Our kitchen is cleaned 3 (sometimes 4) times a day, and missing one of those times spells disaster. And disaster does happen, indeed.

I read and appreciate every comment I get! I will try to either respond by email, or by visiting your blog.
