You Capture - Outside

This week's You Capture challenge was outside.

Well... there hasn't been a lot of me going outside lately.  ;)  That's what happens when our area is hit with three?  four?  or was it five? days of snow/blowing/roads closed/etc.

Here's a taste:

At times, we could barely see our barn.

The crappy weather did NOT stop the kids from playing outside, though.  ;)

Yes, that is a snow drift from the storm.  Yes, it is higher than our trampoline frame.

Yes, this is my son taking a dive off the edge on a sled.  ;)  And our dog is trying to eat him in the process.  :D  (Not really.  He's a knob that has to bark/chew at tires.. or anything that he thinks is going fast.)

I was outside.  Baby was inside.

So, there's my outside pics for this week.  And, in case you were wondering, our local roads are finally all open!  About time.

  1. Mrs. Lear told me that when she was in high school she missed 6 WEEKS of school due to inclement weather. They just couldn't go anywhere. She also said that she remembers Highway 4 being closed for three weeks. Nothing could get through.

So, we've got it easy compared to the folks back then.

  2. Oh my! I sure don't miss that but know what it feels like to be snowed in for days. I grew up in SD!

  3. That sure is a lot of snow - if only we had that much snow to play with!

  7. Snow is fun. You'll have to bring your kids to our place with the hill. My kids don't even use sleds anymore, and trust me, they launch less without them. :)

Very happy there's lots and lots of ice...

  9. Oh my goodness. You have a LOT of snow. We didn't have any yet this winter. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I feel cold just looking at all of the pictures.

: ) So glad the kids enjoyed it. Wasn't playing in that the best when we were little? I loved it!
